Missions
My passion for mission and serving “the least of these” is deeply rooted in the Reformed belief that our faith compels us to love and serve others as Christ loves us. Guided by the conviction that all people bear the image of God, I am drawn to serve those in need—not as an act of charity but as a response to God’s call for justice, mercy, and humility. In every act of service, we encounter Christ Himself, who reminds us that true discipleship means caring for the marginalized, the oppressed, and the vulnerable. It is a profound joy to witness the ways God’s grace brings healing and hope through this mission work, as we participate in the Holy Spirit's redemptive work in the world.

International Mission
In the Reformed tradition, international mission is a sacred calling to share the gospel with humility, love, and respect, rather than an opportunity for “disaster tourism.” Through genuine partnership, we bear witness to Christ’s love, working side by side to address needs, share the good news, and build up the global body of Christ in a spirit of mutual respect and grace.

We formed a partnership in Guatemala that is 14 years strong.
Local Mission
In partnership with four other local churches and the USDA's SFSP (Summer Food Service Program) and our county government, we host a Summer Program that provides breakfast and lunch with educational opportunities for low-income children all summer. It is a chance to build relationships and share God's love.
For years, we ran a tutoring program (KOALA) that eventually became a mentoring program leading youth to college and beyond.

Food Security
Jesus said to "feed my sheep." I believe that meeting the most basic human need of food is one way that we share God's amazing love with our neighbors. With many partners and through over $1.5million in county funds, we provided food monthly to families in need in 12 feeding sites throughout the area.
Education
I believe that education is a means of honoring God and equipping individuals to live fully in their calling, it has been a joy to develop a GED, ESL, and basic education program for Hispanic adults. This work is grounded in the belief that each person deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, not just for personal advancement but as part of their God-given dignity and purpose. Providing accessible education empowers individuals to overcome barriers and opens doors for fuller participation in the life of their communities. I am grateful to witness how God uses these programs to foster confidence, resilience, and connection, as we journey together toward wholeness and shared growth.

Community Building
Serving others is not only an act of love but also a vital way to build community, as we recognize that we are all members of the body of Christ. When we serve, we join in God’s work, strengthening the bonds that unite us as neighbors and brothers and sisters in Christ. Through acts of service, we come to see Christ in one another, breaking down barriers and fostering mutual care and respect. In this way, service becomes a shared endeavor that draws us closer to each other and to God, reminding us that our lives are interconnected and that we are called to live in loving community with one another.
