About Me!

My faith journey began in the Southern Baptist church, where I first encountered the transformative love of Christ and the call to serve. Over time, my path led me to the PC(USA), where I found a theological home that emphasized grace, justice, and a deep commitment to serving those on the margins. In the Reformed tradition, I discovered a framework that not only honors God’s sovereignty but also calls us to engage with humility and compassion in addressing the needs of our neighbors. This journey opened my heart to the needs of people with special needs, immigrants, and low-income families—communities that reveal God’s image in profound ways. I feel called to serve these groups as part of my response to God’s love, believing that Christ is present in every act of justice and mercy, drawing us all into deeper communion with Him and with one another.

Education

Wake Forest University

BS Sociology and Religion

Wake Forest University has historic ties to the Baptist church so my family supported the decision to go 16 hours away from home. At Wake Forest, I was the president of the Baptist Student Union, while attending First Presbyterian Church. The Holy Spirit was at work helping me find a new theological home.

Princeton Seminary

Master of Divinity

One of my Baptist professors suggested I apply to Princeton Seminary because I would find out if I was truly Baptist or Presbyterian. In the course of my time at Princeton, I became fully grounded in the Reformed Tradition.

My Loves

PDP
