Worship Leadership

steph4.jpg

Worship leadership brings me profound joy, rooted in the Reformed understanding that worship is both a gift and a calling to glorify God. In leading worship, I am reminded of God’s sovereignty and grace, as we come together in humility and gratitude to lift our hearts in praise. Each act of worship is an opportunity to reflect Christ’s love and to join with others in responding to God’s Word. It is a joy to witness the Spirit at work, drawing us into deeper communion with God and with one another, uniting our voices as a testament to God’s faithfulness and mercy.

Weekly Worship

God has given me a passion for worship. I love preaching, leading in liturgy, and distilling the service into an age-appropriate level for children. I agree with St. Augustine that our "souls are restless until they rest in you."

Special Services

There are some Sundays (and other days) that are especially meaningful in the life of the church - Easter, Christmas, Confirmation Sunday, Pentecost, and Reformation Sunday. It is a special joy to lead worship those days.

Children's Sunday

Turning the worship service over to the Children is an act of faith! With a lot of practice and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they bring the gospel to life in new and exciting ways! It is one of the services that is most loved each year.

Other Opportunties

Worship is not limited to Sundays! I love creating worship opportunities for individuals and families at other times of the week.

This was a worship service for our Elders at a Session Retreat and a worship service to conclude our Confirmation Mission Trip to Charleston.
